Long-time Packers receiver Donald Driver announced his retirement this morning, after 14 seasons in the NFL, all with the Packers.
He announced the news via his Twitter account, just a day after reports surfaced that the Minnesota Vikings were interested in bringing in the 38 year-old receiver.
Driver is the leading receiver in Packers history, but saw a down season with the emergence of a few younger targets. He said he still had enough game in him to be a top receiver for another team, but wasn’t sure if he’d want to see himself in anything other than Green and Gold.
Since entering the league in 1999, Driver has 743 receptions for 10,137 yards and 61 touchdowns.
Here’s to a great retirement for one of the best to ever put on a Packers uniform!
