There is no love between the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins, so there was no great sadness when it became known that corner Darrelle Revis was out for the remainder of the season with an ACL injury. Particularly not on the part of running back Reggie Bush, who said that Revis and Gang Green had the setback coming to them.

In an interview on a Florida radio show, Bush said,

“It’s like the old saying, ‘What goes around comes around. They talked about all week about putting hot sauce and this and that, and they ended up losing their best player for the rest of the season. So, it’s sad that it happened because of that, but I’m going to be back.”

Bush certainly doesn’t sound sad. But he was not pleased about the Jets’ reaction to his own injury in the second quarter of Miami’s game against the Jets on Sunday, including linebacker Calvin Pace’s comment, which he later clarified, about wanting to knock Bush out of the game.

Bush missed the rest of that game but may return to action as soon as this Sunday. Revis won’t make his return until the 2013 season. In Bush’s mind, that means that he and the Dolphins are the victors, regardless of how they fared in their 23-20 loss to the Jets on Sunday.
