In case you missed the hit on Texans QB Matt Schaub yesterday, the video above shows the vicious hit that left him down on the ground. His helmet popped off instantaneously and it looked as if he were going to be done for the day.

Surprisingly he returned to the game. More surprising than that – he returned to the game after just missing one play. Even more surprising than that – he lost a chunk of his ear before returning to the game after just missing one play.

I’ve never heard anyone question Schaub’s toughness, and after seeing that hit and how fast he was able to recover and get back in there, I hope I NEVER have to hear anyone questioning how tough of a guy he is.

He said after the game that he felt fine, he “only lost a part of his ear” as if it were no big deal. Kudos to you, Matt!
