Beyond having a tough night against the Atlanta Falcons in which he threw 3 interceptions, there are now more questions about Peyton Manning’s arm strength. According todevenpost.com, Manning’s back-up, Brock Osweiler would have replaced Manning should the Broncos have needed to throw a Hail Mary at the end of the game.
“I was going in for the Hail Mary,” Osweiler said. “I’m not sure what the dividing line was as far as me going in, but I was getting ready to go in.”
With age and multiple neck surgeries, many have wondered just how much arm strength Manning has lost. With Osweiler mentioning a “dividing line”, one can assume the Broncos coaches already know Peyton’s arm strength limit. So far this year, Manning has attempted about 4.5 deep throws per game. This is something to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
