Tim Tebow has won hearts and minds with his football prowess and is now gaining influence in the political realm.

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley signed the Equal Access to Interscholastic Activities Act into law on Monday, otherwise known as the Tim Tebow Law. The Act ensures that home-schooled students are allowed to participate in the’ extracurricular activities of public schools.

Tebow was famously home-schooled and started his football career at Allen D. Nease High School in Florida due to the provisions of a similar law. Perhaps, with the help of Tebow’s celebrity, home-schooled children can shed the reputation of being socially awkward and one day be star professional athletes. It could happen.
