Jeff Demps just competed in the Olympic Summer Games and brought home a Silver Medal. Now, the former Florida Gators RB will head to New England and join the Patriots.
Scattered reports around the league say that Demps has agreed to terms with the Patriots and he is on his way to join them.
He claimed the Silver Medal in the Mens 4×100-meter relay in London. He didn’t enter the NFL Draft in hopes that he would qualify for the Summer Games. In his collegiate career, he accounted for 2,470 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns.
The Patriots will most likely use him as a Punt/Kick returner, but he could see some time at RB as well.
