#Dolphins QB David Garrard is expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery soon, sources say. No projection on recovery. Details coming.— Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) August 10, 2012
Miami Herald Columnist Armando Salguero has been able to speak with Garrard to confirm the injury. Garrard would not state how he got injured and when exactly he would have surgery, preferring to evaluate things on a day to day basis. This injury opens up the opportunity for Ryan Tannehill to take the starting job, starting with his preseason debut tonight. Tannehill will now be battling Matt Moore for the starting position.
