The Browns drafted the talented Trent Richardson for a reason with the second overall pick, thinking that he’d be the backbone of the team while things got going. He’s a pro-ready back that fits the system well and the team is excited for things to come.

Today however, it comes to light that he might be missing some time with a knee injury that he had scoped before entering the draft. Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports that Richardson may miss the Browns first preseason game with the knee after sitting out of Tuesdays practice.

Cabot also says that he will undergo an MRI to check on the knee, but the team feels it is nothing serious and he might just sit out of the opener against the Lions.
