If Jeremy Lin is anything, it’s one really nice guy. Part of why Linsanity took off to such an extent is because who doesn’t love an underdog story, and especially one that features a really sweet leading man?
His days in the Big Apple are a thing of the past but that’s not something that every Lin fan understands. Take 5-year old Naim. Forget the wheeling and dealing involved in sports contracts. All Lin’s young fan understood is that his favorite player was no longer on his favorite team. After learning that the Knicks did not match the Rockets offer of $28.9 million for Lin, Naim was devastated. His heartbreak was witnessed by over 30,000 people on YouTube.
When Lin learned of his fan’s sadness, he knew he had to do something. So he arranged to have a Skype conversation with little Naim. Seeing the interaction between Naim, his parents, and Lin will warm your heart. You can watch it all unfold below.
