Russian billionaire Mikhair Prokhorov, who owns the Brooklyn Nets Owner, is set to prove that there’s more than one Net’s owner who can spit on the mic.
Jay-Z, a minority owner of the Net’s is slated to perform eight concerts during a nine day span between Sept. 28th and Oct. 6th at Barclays Center. It’s been hinted by Prohorov that he may rap along Jay- Z.
From Daniel Massey at Crain’s New York Business:
According to Mr. Prokhorov, a reprise [of his talk-show rap] is in the works, but this time in downtown Brooklyn, where Jay-Z will open the $1 billion Barclays Center with a series of sold-out concerts this fall. “Yes, I will rap at his concert,” Mr. Prokhorov informed Crain’s via email. “I am in rehearsals now 10 hours a day and plan to demand joint billing.”
We can tell that part of the email is joking. 10 hours a day rehearsals, and joint billing, but it won’t be surprising if Prohorov shows up on stage for one show with Jay-Z. Prokhorov does own part of the place, so no-one can tell him no.
