Training camp is finally underway for all 32 teams in the league with the start of the NFL regular season about six weeks away. Players showed up to ready to work and the typical scenes of players moving into camp ensued. Some were more unique than others in the way they arrived to camp.
Reggie Wayne
Reggie Wayne, reporting for duty! The Indianapolis Colts receiver reported to camp in Anderson, Indiana in a Hummer, fully decked out in fatigues and accompanied by 7 members of the Indiana National Guard. Wayne’s chosen mode of arrival had a deeper purpose–to show his respect for the men and women in uniform and hopes that a rebuilding Colts team can “take a page out of their book” by being selfless and working hard.
Brett Keisel
Brett Keisel grew up on a farm and says that tractors remind him of his childhood, which is why he rolled up Steelers camp on a tractor. There was symbolism represented by the defensive end’s chosen mode of transportation: paralleling the hard work and reward of farming with that of giving your all at camp to have a successful season in the NFL.
Matt Kalil

On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Viking’s rookie Matt Kalil. The 4th pick of this year’s draft harkened back to the college days of his not-so-distant past to bike to and fro to Minnesota’s training camp.
