LeBron James joined Olympic basketball teammate Kobe Bryant in throwing down the gauntlet. In a game against the iconic Dream Team, he has absolutely no doubt: the current Team USA would be the victor.
In a press conference, James said
”People who think we can’t beat that team for one game, they are crazy. To sit there and say we can’t, it’s ludicrous. We can beat them one time.”
King James says that he respects all that 1992′s Dream Team, led by Michael Jordan, accomplished, but he believes in himself and his teammates.
The ’92 Dream Team paved the way for all of us… We understand what they did for our game, but we also are big-time competitors as well, so if we got the opportunity to play them in a game we feel like we would win too.
Dream Team members like Jordan scoffed at Bryant when he made a similar pronouncement two weeks ago.
