Ralph Lauren, who designed the red, white and blue look that the US team will wear in tonight’s Olympic Opening Ceremony, isn’t the only designer who got in on creating his country’s look for the games.

Stella McCartney designed the uniforms that will be donned by the British team (above). Her looks incorporate the Union Jack prominently into each outfit, featuring the hallmark of the flag in blue hues and featuring the red of the nation’s flag around the neck of each athlete.

The legendary Giorgio Armani will outfit the Italian team for the 2012 Olympics, with a theme of sleek, simple black jackets, vets, and track and sweat pants (both full length and capri) throughout the games.

Some designers have created uniforms for a specific sport at the Olympics like Hermès, who designed the look for the French equestrian team.

Other iconic brands contributing to their country’s Olympic looks include Prada and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Tune in for the parade of looks tonight and throughout the Olympic games.
