Never one to shy away from a controversial topic, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson caused a stir on Twitter Monday when opening his timeline to a debate. His topic of choice? One of the most difficult subjects to tackle in America: race and interracial marriage.
The late-night discussion was started with a single tweet:
And talk to him his followers did. Retweeting some of the many replies, responses ranged from “who cares” to explanations of preferences for dating one race over another.
Retweeting some of the more controversial responses, the issue clearly hit a nerve and got even more heated. So much so that it seems that even Johnson was surprised and needed to take a rest.
Not surprisingly, even after waking on Wednesday morning he found the discussion still going strong.
Whew. With that as a precedent, just what can we expect for Wednesday night’s topic?
