Yesterday we reported that Robert Griffin III was a no-show to Washington Redskins Rookie Camp as he awaited a new deal to comply with CBA Regulations.

This morning, RGIII will be joining his teammates at Camp after agreeing to a four-year deal worth $21.11 Million. The deal also has an option for a fifth year. The deal is fully guaranteed, and comes with a $13.79 Million dollar signing bonus.

The second overall pick has already been named the starter for the Redskins, and fans alike are hoping that Griffin brings winning back to the team. His elusiveness and athleticism on the field has been well documented and it’s a big reason that he flew up draft boards. The former Heisman Trophy winner is looking to being energy and passion to a team that desperately needed something to turn the franchise around.

For the price they paid to move up in the draft, the Redskins were criticized by some, but the move was the right one. RGIII Brings something that the Redskins haven’t had in a very long time, and I’m excited to see it all unfold.
