Energy drink company Powerade seems to have decided to put up a electronic billboard on I-93 South in Medford, just three miles from the TD Garden celebrating LeBron James’ first title win.
The billboard reads, “Congrats LeBron. A championship has a nice ring to it,” with a picture of a grinning James to the right.
The Miami Heat have eliminated the Boston Celtics from the Eastern Conference Finals for the past two seasons and future Hall-of-Famer Ray Allen’s departure to Miami has only added fuel to this new rivalry.
To say the very least, Celtics fans are not pleased right now and this image of a snickering James makes passing motorists feel as if they are being taunted. Check out the image of the billboard below.
