As you all know, or can assume, concerts are extremely loud environments. The music is loud, the crowd is loud, and if you’re at a Justin Bieber concert, the fans are deafening! Which was the case with Stacy Wilson Betts who took her daughter to go see Bieber in 2010.

Betts has filed a $9.23 million lawsuit claiming that her hearing was permanently damaged after the concert. Betts claims Bieber’s screaming fans were so loud that she has had to deal with tinnitus that makes it difficult for her to even get to sleep.

Sources state that the suit says Bieber had entered a “hear-shaped aluminum/steel gondola, created a wave-like effect of screaming, by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion.” The venue, promoter, Bieber and his label are all mentioned in the lawsuit.
