Brook Lopez has been a huge factor in the Dwight Howard trade negotiations that have been going on for quite some time now. Orlando has held off on accepting Lopez for too long and the Nets have forced them to make a decision. The Nets have offered Brook a max deal of $58 million over four years!
Some sources have already stated that the Nets have in fact signed Lopez to a four year deal and that it’s a “done deal”. If this is true, any talk of Howard going to the Nets will cease, since Lopez can’t be traded until January 15th-once he signs the contract (collective bargaining agreement).
As you know, Dwight Howard demanded he be traded to the Nets a while back, so we’re sure he isn’t so happy about this situation.
