Former Basketball player and Golden State Warriers’ Head Coach, Mark Jackson was apparently working with the FBI to stop an alleged extortion case involving a stripper he once dated.

Former stripper, Alexis Adams, and “partner in crime” Marcus Shaw, were arrested this week in the extortion case that involved private photos and recordings Mark Jackson sent to Alexis Adams.

The extortion apparently began in April when Jackson was approached during a trip in Memphis, Tennessee in which Marcus Shaw requested money or they would expose the pictures and recordings. Jackson admitted to giving Shaw the $5,000 but stated “it was a terrible lapse in judgment and a course of action, I would not recommend to anyone”. Two weeks later the Shaw emailed Jackson’s wife requesting more money.

Jackson took the situation to the FBI, who began monitoring emails between Jackson and and Shaw and tracked him down through the IP address. Authorities went through Shaw’s cell phone records which showed constant contact with Adams. One message from Adams read, “Concentrate and f- him up! He is a fake ass man of god.”

Alexis Adams has been charged with conspiracy to commit extortion and Shaw was charged with extortion. He is apparently still being held; He was convicted of aggravated robbery, murder, robbery, aggravated assault and kidnapping, although those charges were later dismissed, these things certainly don’t help his case.

Jackson continues to be apologetic for this entire situation and takes full responsibility for his actions.
